File photo Russia ’s Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) has said that travel agency Brisco will launch charter flights to Bulgaria ’s Black Sea resorts in the summer to compensate for lost sales of package tours to Egypt and Turkey , TASS has reported.
Brisco, specialized in selling package tours to Egypt and Turkey , would start offering charter flights from Moscow to Bulgaria ’s Burgas in the middle of May, TASS reported earlier this week citing official information from ATOR.
The initial frequency of flights on that destination will be twice a week. The frequency will increase to five flights a week starting at the beginning of June.
The company will also offer two flights a week from Moscow to Bulgaria ’s Varna starting at the end of May.
Brisco, one of the three biggest tour operators in Russia , also plans weekly charter flights to the Bulgarian seaside resorts from the cities of Saint Petersburg and Samara this summer, according to TASS.
Brisco suspended sales of trips to Egypt in November after Russia banned charter flights to Egypt in the wake of the crash of a Russian jetliner bringing tourists home from holidays on the Red Sea on 31 October. The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the crash.
Moscow also advised against all charter flights from Russia to Turkey in December after the Turkish Air Force shot down a Russian fighter bomber near the border with Syria on 24 November.
